May Reflection
What a month! I handed in my Stage Two report this month, and I am now preparing for the Stage Two presentation and the Brand Me presentation which are successively close together meaning I have to get them done at the same time.
Regarding Stage Two I think it went okay, I was struggling at the end because I had an extension and felt like everyone was out celebrating and I wasn’t. However, I pushed on and managed to get it submitted, an achievement in itself as I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel a few weeks earlier. Once I submitted, I didn’t want to open it up again, and haven’t since. I would just be criticising myself and thinking of new things to add or take out, and I don’t think that’s productive for my mental wellbeing.
I would rate my happiness with Stage Two at about a 7.5, so not 100% but I don’t think I’d ever be totally content with my own project. I think I’ve put the most amount of time and effort into this project which I’m happy with as it counts the most towards the end degree.
In terms of how I’m feeling, I am sad that my time at Trent is almost over, I’ve been here since 2018 – albeit on the wrong course at the beginning, but the time has flown by. I’ve made friends and memories for life, and I have really enjoyed my time on FMB. I don’t know what I am going to do after university, where, what or how. I am trying not to plan my future because I will get too stressed, and I don’t want to stress when I can’t control things – this is something I’ve spoken about with my councillor.
I don’t know what grade I will get but whatever happens I know I’ve tried my best and that’s all you can do.
Quote of the month – “You are the artist in your life, don’t give the paintbrush to anyone else.”
