January Reflection
What a busy month! With my extension I had a few extra days to complete my work, but the literature review had taken up so much time as I kept starting and stopping to check if I was doing it right; watching tutorials from the library helped with what to include also. I think I’ve been panic working as the deadline looms closer, however, I am feeling quietly confident about my work, I think the writing sounds critical and professional which I know was a big criterion for this piece of work – which we had never had to do before.
I managed to secure all my primary research, which I’m very happy about as I was worried that no one was going to reply to my emails and I’d be left in the dark, yet the insights I gathered from them were super interesting and useful for my argument, and I think speaking to professionals give a real one on one experience and insight into how the topic is perceived in the outside working environment. I did find it challenging to interview people under the time constraints and especially in my chosen topic area, as I have found it to be quite under researched, however I do think I’ve found it super interesting to get into.
I feel as though I’ve suffered from the January blues, as picking myself back up after the Christmas period has been challenging. However, I think next month will be better as I will have handed in this report and Stage Two sounds a lot more exciting and freeing, with less referencing! I am not going to miss this report, it’s been the hardest so far, and the most time consuming, choosing quality references and comparing authors opinions.
Quote of the month – “Make time for the things you love.”
